Our Story:
Hi My name is Stephanie. I am a junior in high school. In 2008 I created this program that delivers books to kids in Central New York who are receiving free meals.
The program's overall goal is to promote literacy by annually delivering 5-6 books to each child. Over 5,400 books have already been delivered to over 1, 200 kids. Books have been collected from friends and family and book drives have been held at local churches and schools.
Books are delivered to theNortheast Community Center , The Samaritan Center, The Southside Church of Christ, the Rescue Mission, Parkside Community Center , Van Duyn School, East Fayette Street Boys and Girls Club, Wilson Park Community Center , Schiller Park Community Center , Mary Nelson Youth Center
